| “Rustic beauty - The place is situated on the steep Bank above the James River with beautiful views and an elegant gazebo overlooking the ravine. It's a hand built artisan dwelling full of artifacts and well equipped for our stay. The only issue we had was finding the place in the rain.

“This home is wonderfully situated - views of mountains & rivers everywhere. Close to good restaurants (if you don't want to cook) and grocery store if you do, you have lots of choices (fully equipped kitchen!). This home is comfortable and beautiful, but not "fussy" -- the owners clearly have taken care and delight in furnishing it. They also are very attentive to guests needs, and responded quickly to the one question we had. This is definitely a place you could come to and be content to "just be" for several days, or use as home base to explore all that this part of Virginia has to offer.
